Interfaith Volunteers                                                                                                   Housekeeping (light) for Seniors/Disabled Many seniors and disabled folks live in their home or apartment, but need just a little help to maintain this independence. One area of chronic need involves light housekeeping, such as dusting, vacuuming, maybe wiping the counter top or sweeping the steps of pine cones. In fact, when seniors cannot see, they may not even realize when these light chores are necessary. While most would never think of asking for help, many become pressured by family and social service helpers to give up their independence, when all they need is a little help. Volunteers always determine exactly what they are willing to do, so don't be intimidated if you don't feel up to vacuuming, for instance. Volunteers are cleared through fingerprints and a background check.

Taproot-Project Achievement: Lynch Elem. School.
